A bridge on Kim River, Surat district, Gujarat has been completed for the Bullet Train project on 15th March 2025.
This is the 14th river bridge completed for the project in Gujarat. Total 21 river bridges will be constructed in Gujarat portion.
The details of river bridge are as follows:
• Length - 120 meters
• Consists of 3 full span girders of 40 meter each
• Height of the piers varies from 12 m to 15 m
• Four (04) circular piers of 4 m diameter
• The bridge is located in between Surat and Bharuch Bullet Train station
• Other river bridges between the two stations are on Tapi and Narmada river which are under construction
• The river is approximately 30 kms from both Surat and Bharuch Bullet Train station
Other completed river bridges on the corridor in Gujarat are; Par (Valsad district), Purna (Navsari district), Mindhola (Navsari district), Ambika (Navsari district), Auranga (Valsad district), Venganiya (Navsari district), Mohar (Kheda district), Dhadhar (Vadodara district), Kolak (Valsad district), Vatrak (Kheda district), Kaveri (Navsari district), Kharera (Navsari district) and Meshwa (Kheda district)
