Media Brief : NHSRCL Completes Another River Bridge on Auranga River for MAHSR Corridor

MAHSR corridor has added another feather in its cap by completing the construction of river bridge on Auranga River, Valsad district, Gujarat. This is the fifth river bridge completed till date on MAHSR corridor.

Salient features of Auranga river bridge:

  • Length: 320 meters
  • Consists of 08 Full Span Girders (40 meters each)
  • Height of Piers - 20 m to 26 m
  • Circular piers of 5 m diameter (7 Nos.) & 5.5 m diameter (2 Nos.)
  • This bridge is in between Vapi and Bilimora HSR station.

The construction of bridge on Par, Purna, Mindhola and Ambika River has already been completed.

There are total 24 river bridges on MAHSR corridor (Gujarat and Maharashtra) out of which 20 are in Gujarat and 04 are in Maharashtra.

The longest river bridge of 1.2 km is being constructed on Narmada river, Gujarat and 2.28 km long bridge will be constructed on Vaitarna river in Maharashtra.
