Ahmedabad Bullet Train station is inspired by the rich cultural & historical ethos of the city. The roof & facade depicts a canvas for hundreds of kites whereas the canopy picks a pattern inspired by the intricate lattice work of iconic Syed Siddique’s Jaali.
The station is being planned to be built up in an area of approx. 38,000 sq. m over the existing western railway station above platform no. 10, 11 & 12 which will provide excellent integration with Western Railway station through foot over bridge. The station will also be connected with the Metro station of GMRCL. i.e. Kalupur Metro station through lifts, staircase and escalators.

Multiple facilities will be provided for comfort and convenience of the passengers in the station such as:
- Waiting lounge, rest rooms, nursery, retail & commercial outlets etc.
- Segregated parking lots and pick & drop off bays for different modes i.e. cars, buses & autos
Station Connectivity:
- To ensure seamless integration of the Bullet Train station with other modes of transport, an integrated building for passenger transit is constructed on east side of the existing railway station, where passengers will be able to comfortably switch from one mode to another using escalators and elevators
- The building is integrated with Ahmedabad railway station to provide connection to WR FOBs for passengers coming from platforms 1 to 9 and on other side it will be connected to the underground Kalupur metro station towards Saraspur side
- The Bullet Train station will offer easy access to Ahmedabad airport which is approx. 10 km and the nearby Geeta Mandir Central Bus Stand which is 3.5 kms
Station Progress:
- Structural work of the station building up to track floor is completed
- Interior works including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) primary support fixing work in progress
- Façade mock up work and RC track bed laying work in progress
