Launching of 45m Long SBS Span and Passing of Full Span Girder at Petlad Canal for Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor

Salient Features

• MAHSR viaduct crossed over Petlad Canal (irrigation canal of Mahi river), Anand District, Gujarat
• As Full Span Launching Method (FSLM) was not possible, Span By Span (SBS) method was used
• Water flow was not obstructed during the construction phase
• 19 segments were joined to make 45 m span over the canal
• 1000 MT Full Span Girder was moved over the SBS span to complete the construction
