Under construction Boisar Bullet Train station has marked a milestone with the casting of first slab for the station. This slab is approx. 40 meters wide and 37 meters in length consuming over 1070 cubic meters of concrete. There will be 9 such slabs at this level which will form the base for track laying works at the station. Station will have two levels i.e. Concourse level and Rail level. Station will be 425 meters long.
Approx. 8000 metric tonnes of steel and 42,000 cubic meter of concrete will be used for Boisar station, which will have an area of 6000 sq. m. at concourse level. Total station area will be approx. 17,000 sq. m.
Boisar Bullet Train station façade design is inspired from the fishing nets, used by Konkani fishermen in the region.
Once operational, this station will boost connectivity to the upcoming Vadhvan port (23 km), Boisar & Tarapur Industrial area, Tarapur Atomic Power station and many well-known tourist places like Chichani Beach, Nandgaon Beach, Shirgaon Beach, Kelwa Beach Dahanu & Bordi Beach, Hiradpada & kalamandevi waterfall etc.
Station Facilities:
Two floored station building will have Lounge, waiting rooms (paid & unpaid area both), smoking rooms, first aid, toilet room & drinking water facilities, Lifts & Escalators for level change, Shops in paid & unpaid area at concourse level
