Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project Celebrates its 9th Foundation Day

National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited celebrated its 9th Foundation Day on 12th February 2025. This significant occasion marks the journey of NHSRCL completing 9 years of commitment to excellence and innovation.

Project Status

  • Completion of more than 260 km of viaduct and 360 km of pier work 
  • Construction of six steel bridges, four PSC (Pre-Stressed Concrete) bridges, and 13 river bridges in Gujarat
  • Completion of more than 95 km of RC track bed and commencement of welding of rails on the viaduct
  • Installation of noise barriers over 100 km of viaduct in Gujarat
  • Commencement of overhead electrification work in Gujarat
  • Completion of structural work on 6 out of 8 Bullet Train stations in Gujarat
  • Commencement of work on three elevated stations and Base Slab at Mumbai Bullet Train station in Maharashtra
  • Excavation started for 21 km tunnel between Bandra-Kurla Complex and Shilphata. Vikhroli and Sawli shafts are ready for Tunnel Boring Machines, and with the NATM portion achieving more than 2.5 kilometers of heading from three faces
  • Construction commenced on 7 mountain tunnels in Palghar district
  • Successful completion of Nukkad Nataks- Safety at Site across more than 100 sites reaching around 13,000 workers
  • Establishment of three self-help groups in Surat, Navsari, and Bharuch producing cost-effective sanitary napkins for women in tribal areas, and facilitation of around 1,300 cataract surgeries for elderly patients in Maharashtra
